AUGUSTA, Ga. - Entered into rest May 26, 2001, to the residence, Mr. Richard J. "Red" Hanson husband of Mrs. Dorothy Hanson. A memorial service will be held 2 p.m., Tuesday, May 29, 2001 at the in Focus Ministry Center, 562 Old Evens Rd. with Dr. Gene Smith officiating. Burial will be in Webster City, Iowa. He was the owner and manager of New Life Natural Foods and served in the Iowa National Guard Reserves. Other Family members include two daughters, Judy Pigsley, Webster City, Iowa and Lynda Buxton, Augusta, Ga; two brothers, Franklin Hanson, Corpus Christi, Texas and Walter Hanson, Seattle, Wash.; three sisters, Thelma Douglas, Red Wood City, Calif., Gertrude Edvenson, Hollister, Calif. and Lavonne Sibert Albert, Lea, Minn.; seven grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. The family request contributions be made to the St. Joseph Hospice Program, 2260 Wrightsboro Rd. Augusta, GA 30904. There will be no visitation at the funeral home. Florists please deliver flowers to the church.
