Funeral services for Mrs. Julia Higbee, 78, will be held at the McCauley-Chapman Funeral home Monday afternoon at 2 o'clock. The Rev. Creston Hinderks of the Congregational church at Iowa Falls will officiate, burial will be in Graceland cemetery.

Mrs. Higbee died at 11:30 last night at the Hamilton county hospital following a heart attack.

Mrs. Higbee, the former Julia Frank, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Louis Frank, was born in Webster City Aug. 15, 1884. She attended the Webster City schools and on Dec. 18, 1907, she married Col. Higbee. They had one daughter and one son. The daughter is Mrs. Arild (Mary Jane) Kepler of Iowa Falls. The son, Robert, died when he was 7.

Survivors include four grandchildren, Julia, Kathleen, Cynthia and David. Two brothers, Arthur and Ralph, also survive.

Mrs. Higbee was preceded in death by her parents and her husband who died in March of 1942. She was a member of the Congregational church, the Order of the Eastern Star, the White Shrine, PEO, and the American Legion Auxiliary.

For the past several years, Mrs. Higbee assisted her brother in the clothing store here.
