Arthur L. Frank, 83, longtime Webster City businessman, died early this morning at the Ellsworth Municipal hospital in Iowa Falls. He had been in failing health the past two years.

Funeral services will be at 3 p.m. Friday at the Foster Funeral home with the Rev. Homer Doak officiating and with burial in Graceland cemetery.

Arthur Louis Frank, son of Louis and Mary Bossert Frank, was born July 9, 1883, at Webster City and was reared and educated in the Webster City community. He later attended business college at Minneapolis and was employed as an accountant in Minneapolis until 1917, when he returned to Webster City.

He engaged in the clothing business with his father, the late Louis Frank, and following the death of his father he continued in the business until November, 1965. For the past year and a half he had resided in Iowa Falls.

He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Ralph Frank, and one sister, Mrs. Julia Higbee.

He is survived by two nieces and one nephew, Mrs. Arild (Mary Jane) Kepler, Iowa Falls, Mrs. George (Rosemary) Stepp, Oceanside, Calif., and Ralph L. Frank, Jr., of Milburn, N.J., and several cousins.

Mr. Frank was a lifetime member of the city council and was a former member of the Elks Lodge.
