ELLSWORTH - Clyde Dalbey, 75, of Ellsworth died Thursday morning at the Hamilton county hospital in Webster City. He had suffered a heart attack Tuesday and had been hospitalized since then.
The body will lie in state until 1 p.m. Sunday, at the Methodist church in Ellsworth. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. with Rev. Harold Miller officiating. Burial will be in Homewood cemetery.
Clyde Dalbey was the son of Frank and Roxanna Dalbey. He was born on a farm near Ellsworth Oct. 10, 1883, and lived his entire life in Ellsworth. He retired several years ago after operating an oil station and garage for 25 years.
In 1904 he was married to Sena Lande and to this union three sons were born. The only surviving son is Clifford Dalbey of Ellsworth.
On January 1, 1950, he was married to Lina Severson, who survives him along with two step-sons, E.O. Severson of Memphis, Tenn., and Leo Severson of Irvington, N.J. Other surviving relatives include a brother-in-law, Ole Lande, and a number of nieces, nephews, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
