Curtis L. Thoreson, 57, Palmetto, Fla., died Sunday morning at his home.
Born March 1, 1909 in Ellsworth to Carl J. and Anna (Olson) Thoreson, he farmed there until two years ago when he bought a fruit orchard in Florida.
He was married July 20, 1940 to Ona Dahl.
He is survived by his wife, three children, Lt. Steven, Army Air Force; Stewart, a senior at St. Olaf College; and Karl at home; five sisters, Mrs. Edward (Hazel) Sorenson, Ames; Mrs. Wilford (Lurine) McMahon, Des Moines; Mrs. Bill (Mamie) Hamilton, Des Moines; Mrs. Ray (Florence) Powell, Winterhaven, Fla.; and Mrs. Jasper (Anna) Jacobson, Mason City and two brothers, Leo of Des Moines and Wesley of Ellsworth.
Funeral services will be held at the Trinity Lutheran church in Ellsworth. Burial will be in the Homewood Cemetery in Ellsworth.
