Archie Silas Jacobson, son of Sarah and Sam Jacobson was born September 22, 1901, in Hamilton County. He passed away on March 26, 1972 at the Story City hospital at the age of 70 years, 7 months and 4 days.

He was baptized in North St. Petri Church and confirmed in Elim Lutheran Church.

On June 1, 1921 he was united in marriage to Grace Olson. Three children were born to this union - one son, Marvin, died in infancy; Ronald of Story City and Lowell of Jewell survive.

Other survivors besides his wife and sons are 2 daughters-in-law, 4 granddaughters and 2 grandsons. Also 2 sisters, Mrs. Leonard Twedt (Mamie) of Story City and Mrs. Harold Jacobs (Selma) of Denison and brothers, Gaylord and Millard of Story City, Elmer of Hollywood, Calif. and Silas of Ames, and a number of nieces and nephews as well as host of friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents and three brothers.

Mr. Jacobson was a life-long member of the Lutheran faith and until December 1966, lived and farmed in the Randall vicinity. At this time they retired to their present home in Story City.

Funeral services were held Wednesday, March 29, 1972 at 2 p.m. at Elim Lutheran church, Randall with Rev. Gregerson and Rev. Bringle officiating.

Music was furnished by Delbert Quam, soloist and Miss Sharon Quam organist. Interment was in Mamrelund Cemetery.

Pallbearers were Allan Osmundson, Arden Quam, Virgil Auestad, Robert Ericson, William Hetland and Orlene Egland.
