Cora Henrietta Hanson Anderson, 91, died Sunday, May 11, 1980 at Bethany Manor in Story City. Funeral services were held Tuesday, May 13, at 2:00 p.m. in Trinity Lutheran church, Ellsworth. Rev. Harvey Sigurdson and Rev. Enoch Hall officiated. Burial was made in Mt. Olive Cemetery at Randall. Pallbearers were: Dennis Anderson, Danny Anderson, Craig Thompson, Lauren Olson, David Halverson and Joe Hanson. Becker Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Cora Anderson was born January 17, 1889 at St. Paul, MN., the daughter of Mary Egland Hanson and Hans B. Hanson. October 14, 1908 she married George Anfinson who died in 1913. She married Ray Anderson on May 16, 1914 and he died in 1956. She made her home in Randall, Story City, Radcliffe and Ellsworth.

She is survived by three daughters, Mrs. Jack (Mildred) Bates of Pinole, CA., Mrs. Wayne (Geneva) Olson of Ellsworth, Mrs. Robert (Lois) Thompson of Ellsworth and a son, Raymond Anderson of Ellsworth. Also surviving are 11 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren and one sister, Mrs. Wm. (Hannah) Anderson of El Cerrito, CA.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husbands, three sons, LeRoy Anfinson, Raymond C. and Earl Anderson, three sisters, Mollie, Erma and Edna, three brothers, Wilmer, Melvin and Raymon Hanson.

Cora was a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church in Ellsworth and the TLCW of the church.
