The community was greatly shocked Monday when word was received here by relatives that little Raymond Anderson had passed away after only a few days illness with diphtheria. He was the oldest son of Mr. and Mrs. Ray Anderson of Ames and a grandson of Mr. and Mrs. H.B. Hanson of this place. Raymond was born at Mason City, April 5, 1919 and passed away at his home, Oct. 22, 1923, at the age of four years.

God had sent him to brighten the home of his parents for just a little while and then called him to a home in Heaven for he knowest best.

He leaves to mourn his passing, his father and mother, two sisters and one brother.

Rev. G.O. Paulsrud held a short service on the lawn of the home Tuesday and the body was brought to Randall and laid to rest in Mount Olive cemetery.
