Jack Patrick Patterson, 78, Albert Lea, MN., a former Webster City resident, died Tuesday, Feb. 15, 2000 at the Bethel Care Center in St. Paul, MN. Funeral services will be held on Saturday at 11 a.m. at Our Savior's Lutheran Church in Albert Lea with Rev. Wayne Halvorson officiating. Burial will be in the Concordia Lutheran Cemetery in Pickerel Lake. Military honors will be accorded by Albert Lea Veteran's Organizations. Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. Friday at Bonnerup Funeral Service in Albert Lea, and one hour before the service at the church.

Jack P. Patterson was born in Webster City, March 26, 1921, the son of Roy E. and Gertrude Treanor Patterson. He graduated from Lincoln High School in Webster City. He served in the U.S. Navy from 1944 to 1946, where he was a Seaman First Class. He served as the Fire Chief in Webster City for 22 years, before retiring in 1976. He had resided in Webster City, Iowa Falls and then Albert Lea since 1979. On August 9, 1980, he married Betty Krueger at Our Savior's Lutheran Church in Albert Lea. Following his retirement, he worked part time at Skyline Hardware in Albert Lea.

He served in the National Guard, and was a member of the Elks Club and the American Legion.

Survivors are his wife, Betty, Albert Lea, children and their spouses, Pam and Howard Thomas, Juneau, WI, Pat Cummings of Des Moines, Cheri and Jim Norris of Des Moines, Robyn and Phillip Krienert of LeMars, Brenda and David Dickman, Austin, MN, Julie and Thomas Prust of Mankato, MN, Alan and Kim LeBeck of Manchester, MN, Lori Londo of Minnetonka, MN, 16 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren, a sister, Mary Hoffman of Lakeside, CA, mother-in-law, Hazel Krueger, sister-in-law, Phyllis Patterson, Lakeside, CA, numerous nieces and nephews.
