DEATH CLAIMS DAVID HEWITT

Funeral Services for Youth Will Be Sunday at Foster's

David Clayton Hewitt, seven year old son of Mr. and Mrs. Wray Hewitt, died at his home, 926 Elm street, shortly before 11 o'clock last evening. Death was caused by a brain tumor.

He had been ill since Nov. 11.

Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Sunday at the Foster funeral home with the Rev. R. E. Hanson, pastor of the United Brethren church officiating. Burial will be made in Foster's baby addition to Graceland cemetery.

David was born April 14, 1932, in Albia and moved to Webster City in 1934 with his parents. His father is ad compositor for The Freeman-Journal. David was baptized in the United Brethren church in Albia and attended Sunday school and church at Webster City as long as his health permitted.

He was in second grade in the South building when he became ill in November. He was taken to the hospital for treatment, but later was taken to his home where he grew gradually worse. His family and doctor realized from the start of his illness that it would prove fatal, but everything possible was done to keep the lad happy and amused.

He leaves to mourn his death his parents, a brother, Don, age 5, and two sisters, Eugenia, age 10, and Nancy, age 3. His grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. W. K. Vander Hoek, live in Pella, and his grandmother, Mrs. Stella Hewitt, lives in Oskaloosa.
