Anna Margery Redling Kuhlman, 73, a former area resident, died Sunday, Dec. 10, 2000 at her home in Sun City West, Ariz. Memorial services will be held Saturday at 10:30 a.m. at Bethesda Lutheran Church in Jewell with Rev. Rolfe Johnstad to officiate. Private burial of her ashes will take place at a later date in Greenwood Cemetery in Ellsworth. A memorial fund has been established for Make a Wish Foundation of Colorado, 1241 So. Parker Rd., Denver, Colo., 80231.

Anna Margery Tyler was born Feb. 5, 1927 in Ellsworth to Ernest B. and Synva Thompson Tyler. She graduated from Ellsworth High School and attended St. Olaf College. Her life was spent helping others as a counselor working with troubled youth, then at Job Service of Iowa, and as the originator of the Employee Assistance Program at the Iowa Department of Transportation. She resided in Ames, Story City, Colesburg, and Jewell, as well as in Arizona.

Survivors are four sons and daughters-in-law, Gary and Linn Redling of Maquoketa, Marvin (Bud) and Becky Redling of Waupaca, Wis., and Ted and Sylvia Redling of Golden, Colo.; two daughters, Melissa Brown of Story City and Irene Boehnke of Davenport; 11 grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren.

Memorial services for Mrs. Kuhlman were held Wednesday at the Lord of Life Church in Sun City West, Ariz.

Becker Funeral Home in Jewell is in charge of the local arrangements.
