Arnold Lewis Tyler, 74, Westchester, Ill., a former Jewell resident, died Saturday, Feb. 11, in Westchester. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, Feb. 15, at 3 p.m. at the Bethesda Lutheran Church, Jewell, Rev. James Cherry officiating. Burial will be in the Greenwood Cemetery in Ellsworth. The Becker Funeral Home, Jewell, is in charge of arrangements.

Arnold Lewis Tyler, son of Ernie Bernard and Synva Thompson Tyler, was born Dec. 8, 1914, in Ellsworth, where he graduated from high school in 1931. He attended Luther College, Decorah, and The University of Iowa, Iowa City, where he graduated from the School of Law in 1938. He married Anna Marjorie Severson on Feb. 15, 1940 in Ellsworth. He was a cattle buyer and farmer.

He is survived by his wife Anna; daughter Mary Ann Lasky, Westchester; sons Mark Arnold Tyler, Ames, and Tom Ernie Tyler, Seattle, Wash.; four grandchildren; and sister Margery Kuhlman, Sun City West, Ariz.

He was preceded in death by his parents and brother Hubert.
