ELLSWORTH - Mrs. Ralph A. (Genevieve) Olsen, 74, died suddenly Sunday afternoon at the Story City hospital where she had been a patient for about two weeks.

Funeral services will be Thursday at 2 p.m. at the Trinity Lutheran church in Ellsworth with the Rev. Harvey Sigurdson officiating and with burial in Greenwood cemetery.

The body will lie in state at the Becker Funeral home from Tuesday until Thursday noon when it will be taken to the church.

Genevieve May Johnson, daughter of Nels and Etta McCorckle Johnson, was born Feb. 21, 1903 at Sexton, Iowa.

She was married Jan. 1, 1925 to Ralph Olsen and the couple had farmed in the Ellsworth community for the past 42 years.

She was a graduate of the Iowa State University at Ames. She was a member of the Trinity Lutheran church, the Order of the Eastern Star and the Order of Knoll at Iowa State, the Study Club, and was an honorary 4-H member.

She is survived by her husband; two children, Mrs. Bruce (Patricia May) Yungclas of Webster City and Neil Olsen of Blairsburg; six grandchildren; one brother, Kenneth Johnson of Dallas, Texas.

She was preceded in death by her parents; one sister, and one grandson, Gary Yungclas.
