JEWELL - Mrs. Floyd Olson, 68, died Saturday morning at Mary Greeley hospital in Ames. She had been hospitalized one day, after having suffered a stroke, July 15, while visiting a son, Jarold Olson at Colorado Springs, Colo.

Funeral services will be Tuesday at 2 p.m. at the Bethesda Lutheran church with the Rev. Enoch Hall of Bethany Manor officiating and with burial in the Evergreen cemetery at Jewell. The body will lie in state at the Becker Funeral home until 1 p.m. Tuesday when it will be taken to the church.

Ruth Judith Christian, daughter of Henry and Elizabeth Christian, was born May 31, 1910, in Story county. She resided at Kenyon, Minn., prior to her marriage to Floyd L. Olson Oct. 20, 1927, at Faribault, Minn. The couple had always resided in the Jewell community since that time.

She was a member of Bethesda Lutheran church, the ALCW of the church and the American Legion Auxiliary.

She is survived by her husband; three sons, Jarold Olson of Colorado Springs; Dean Olson of Huxley and Rick Olson of Ames, two daughters, Mrs. Cyril (Elizabeth) Clark of Jewell and Mrs. Clifford (Deloris) Bergman of Ames; 18 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren; two sisters, Ora Christian and Helen Christian; and one brother, Robert Christian, all of Mill Valley, Calif.
