Arvin (A.J.) Hinderks, 53, of Webster City, died Thursday, Jan. 22 at Mercy Hospital in Des Moines following a massive stroke.

Funeral services will be held at 11:30 a.m. Monday, Jan. 26 at the Trinity Lutheran Church in Webster City with Rev. Raymond M. Roden and Rev. David R. LaMaster officiating. Private family committal services will be held at 10:30 a.m. at Graceland Cemetery.

Arvin Hinderks, son of Henry and Jennie Klooster Hinderks, was born April 21, 1933, near Kamrar. He was educated in Kamrar schools. He served with the U. S. Army for two years at the Fitzsimmons Army Hospital in Denver, Colo.

On June 12, 1960, he married Karen Nessa at Thor. The couple had always farmed in the Webster City area. Mr. Hinderks was also a Super Crost Seed Corn Dealer.

Survivors are his wife; three daughters, Colleen of Webster City, Nancy and Jill, who live at home; five brothers and one sister, Dennis, Leo and Merrill all of Webster City, Eldon of Woolstock, Kenneth of Fort Dodge, and Doris of Webster City; several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Mr. Hinderks was a member of Trinity Lutheran church.
