HEART ATTACK PROVES FATAL

Funeral Services for Blairsburg Man to Be Monday Afternoon

BLAIRSBURG, Iowa - Maroni Williams, 65, known to his many friends over the county as "Romie" died suddenly at his home here at 6:15 o'clock this morning, death being caused by a heart ailment.

Although he had not been in good health, he was up and about as usual and spent all day yesterday at his pool hall in Blairsburg which he owned and operated. He retired early last evening and awoke about midnight, seriously ill. A doctor was called and remained with him until his death.

Funeral services will be Monday afternoon at 2 o'clock at the Congregational church in Blairsburg with the Rev. F. E. Henry, pastor, officiating, burial in the Blairsburg cemetery. Ricke in charge.

Mr. Williams was born in Omaha and spent his younger days there and in South Dakota. He came to Blairsburg 25 years ago and for a time was a barber there. Later he owned and operated a restaurant and for the past 16 years he owned a pool hall.

He was married in 1923 to Mrs. Anna (Weiss) Baughman, who survives him. He also leaves a step daughter, Mrs. Russell Matthews, of Blairsburg, and a step son, Raymond Baughman of Fairfield, as well as many other relatives and a host of friends. A son, Leverne, 5, preceded his father in death.
