KILLED IN ACTION OCT. 30

Clarence Olson of Randall Makes Supreme Sacrifice for His Country

HIS PARENTS NOTIFIED

A telegram has just been received here by Mr. and Mrs. Martin Olson, saying that their son, Clarence Olson, was killed in action in France Oct. 30.

Clarence Olson was born two miles north of Randall May 20, 1894, hence he was 24 years, five months and ten days of age. He was the eldest of nine children.

Besides his parents, he leaves to mourn his loss, four sisters and four brothers, Archie, somewhere in France, Myra, Genora, Grace, Floyd, Milo, Beatrice and Clifford.

On the 26th of July Clarence answered the call of his country leaving here for a (unreadable) camp and in September he sailed for France where he met his sad and untimely death.

The sympathy of all goes out to the heart-broken parents, sisters and brothers and their neighbors and friends hope that time will lighten the sorrow now bearing so heavily upon them.

[The memorial services of Pvt. Clarence Olson will be held at the Lutheran Church at Randall, Dec. 15 at 2:30 p.m.]
