Anderson Rites To Be Monday
Funeral services will be Monday at 2 o'clock at the Trinity Lutheran church for Ray Anderson, 67. Mr. Anderson died Friday morning at 8:30 at the Story City hospital where he had been a patient since Wednesday. He had been ill the past 17 months. Death was attributed to an asthmatic condition.
The body will lie in state from 1 to 2 p.m. at the church Monday. The Rev. C. J. Naglestad will officiate. Burial will be in the Randall cemetery.
Survivors are his wife, Cora; one son, Raymond; and two daughters, Mrs. Wayne Olson and Mrs. Robert Thompson, all of Ellsworth; a step-daughter, Mrs. J. R. Bates of Richmond, Calif,; six grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; five sisters and four brothers.
Mr. Anderson had been a farmer and a mechanic in the Ellsworth community for six years. Before that he had resided in the Randall and story City area.
He was born in Sweden [Dec. 4, 1888], coming to America when he was only four years old.
He was a member of the Lutheran church.
