Death Takes Miss Stebbins.
Funeral Services to Be Held at Foster’s Saturday Afternoon.
Miss Mamie Stebbins, 68, died at the home of her brother, Guy Stebbins, 738 First Street, this morning after an illness of ten days. She had been in poor health for many months.
Funeral services will be held Saturday afternoon at 2 o’clock at the Foster funeral home. The Rev. Manson E. Miller will officiate and burial will be made in Graceland cemetery.
She leaves four brothers, Charles, of Pocahontas, William W., of Fort Dodge; M.C. of Hugo, Col., and Guy, of this city. There are also several nieces and nephews.
Miss Stebbins was a member of the Church of Christ, the Rebekah and Royal Neighbor lodges and the Woodman circle. She was born in Beaver Dam, Wis., but came to this city with her parents when a child. For many years she was in the dressmaking business (Daily Freeman Journal 7 Sep 1933).
