He was baptized Jan. 4, 1903 in the Elim Lutheran Church by Rev. G.O. Paulsrude. His sponsors were Mr. and Mrs. Jacob Jacobson and Mrs. and Mrs. M.O. Johnson. On October 8th, 1916, he was confirmed with a class of 13 from Elim church.

Wilmer spent all his life here at Randall and had many friends. He leaves to mourn his father and mother, Mr. and Mrs. H.B. Thompson of Ellsworth, Mrs. Ray Anderson, Melvin Hanson of Randall and Raymon Hanson of Des Moines.

The funeral was held Wednesday afternoon, Jan. 5, 1927, conducted at the parental home at 1:30 o'clock, and at 2 o'clock at the Elim Lutheran church.

The body was laid to rest in the Mount Olive cemetery. The pallbearers were six of Wilmer's boy friends: Paul Langland, Ira Dudley, John and Thomas Larson, Henry Weltha and Peter Frette.
