Harmke Luppes, daughter of Harm and Tina Lammers Luppes, was born June 28, 1900, at Clarion. As a young girl she moved with her family to a farm near Blairsburg and was reared and educated in the Blairsburg community. Following the death of her father, the family moved to Webster City.

For many years, she made her home with her brother, Herman Luppes, who preceded her in death in 1969. In May, 1976, she moved to the Southfield Care Center where she had since resided.

She is survived by one brother, Harry Luppes, of Webster City.

In addition to her brother, Herman, she was preceded in death by her parents and another brother, Joe Luppes, who died in 1982.

She was a member of the Church of Christ in Webster City.

(NOTE - her headstone at the Liberty Center Cemetery says she was born in 1899)
