Orlan S. Osboe, 91, of Webster City, died Monday, September 27, 2010 at the Van Diest Medical Center. Funeral services will be held Friday, October 1, 2010 at 10:30 a.m. at Fosters Chapel with Pastor Ray Artrip officiating. Visitation will be Thursday from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Foster Funeral and Cremation Center and prior to the service on Friday. Burial will be in the Graceland Cemetery.

Orlan Siles Osboe, son of Casper and Blanche Fixen Osboe, was born June 7, 1919 at Radcliffe. He received his education at Radcliffe. During W W II, he served in the U.S. Navy in the Theatre of Action. On March 13, 1943, he married Frances Arlene Passwaters at Radcliffe. The couple resided briefly in the Radcliffe Area before moving to Webster City in 1948. Mrs. Osboe died June 15, 2004

Orlan is survived by son, Tom Osboe of Webster City; Grandchildren, Jeff Osboe of Denver, CO; John and Danielle Osboe of Des Moines; Sarah Osboe of Des Moines; Stephanie Osboe of Denver, Co; great-grandchildren, Payton Will and Colin Osboe, several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by his parents; Son, Steven Osboe 1965; daughter-in-law, Beth Osboe in 1992; Brothers, Jimmy and Robert Osboe.

He was a member of the Radcliffe Lutheran Church; long time member of the Webster City Country Club; American Legion Post # 191 and a former member of the Webster City Elks Lodge.
