Mason City- Jed Graham, 26, of Mason City died Sunday (August 29, 2010) in an automobile accident.

A celebration of Jed’s life will be held 10:30 a.m. Thursday (September 2, 2010) at First United Methodist Church, 119 S. Georgia, Mason City, with Chaplin Janet Dorenkamp, officiating. Inurnment will be held at a later date.

Jed’s family will host a gathering from 5 to 7:30 p.m. Wednesday at Hogan-Bremer-Moore Colonial Chapel, 126 3rd St NE, Mason City.

Memorials may be given to the Jed Graham Memorial Fund.

Jedidiah Richard Graham was born March 16, 1984 at Mason City, a son of John and Jada (Buckels) Graham.

He attended Mason City schools and was a 2002 graduate of Mason City High School, where he participated in football, basketball and Track.

Following graduation, Jed worked for a short time and then returned to school, earning an Associate in Arts degree at North Iowa Area Community College. He then attended the National Personal Training Institute, Minneapolis, Minnesota, becoming a certified personal trainer. Jed returned to Mason City, where he currently worked at Pro-Build as a warehouse delivery driver.

Jed’s passion for life was shown through his dedication to physical fitness. He trained at the Iron House Gym, and competed in power lifting events. For those that knew him, Jed always lived life to the fullest.

A quote that held a special sense of meaning to Jed, reads “It is not the years in your life but the life in your years, my friend”.

He is survived by his parents, John and Jada Graham, Mason City; a sister, Jenna (Steve) Gooding, West Des Moines; a brother, Jordan Graham, Mason City; paternal grandparents, John and Shirley Graham, Jewell; maternal grandmother, Faye Buckels, Webster City; aunts and uncles, Kathy and Tim Casperson, Story City, Kare and Bruce McCommis, Cedar Rapids, Susie and Karl Young, Durango, CO, Joy and Bruce Arends, Waterloo, Jeremy and Sarah Buckels, Ames (currently deployed in the National Guard ); many cousins; and many great-aunts and uncles.

Jed was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Lloyd Buckels, Jr., and his paternal and maternal great-grandparents.
