Mary Frances Richards, formerly a resident of Webster City, passed away at her home in Scottsdale, Ariz. on Aug. 16, 2010. The cause of death was indicated as heart failure.

Mary was a graduate of Lincoln High School and was the Salutatorian of the Class of l945. She attended the University of Iowa where she met and married her first husband, Tom Richards, a jazz trombonist. She moved to Phoenix, Ariz. in 1978 and was employed by the US Postal Service where she met her second husband Jack King. They were married in 2003. Mary was preceded in death by her parents, Roy and Jeanette Richards, of Webster City, and her younger sister Joyce, of Portland Oregon
