Lois Grant, 94, of Iowa Falls, passed away Wednesday at Scenic Manor in Iowa Falls. A funeral mass will be at 10:30 a.m. on Monday at St. Mark's Catholic Church in Iowa Falls. A Rosary will be held at 9:15 a.m. Monday followed by a time of visitation from 9:30 a.m. until Mass.

Lois Evelyn Grant, 94, of Iowa Falls and formerly of Pocahontas, Iowa, passed away Wednesday at Scenic Manor, Iowa Falls. A Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 A.M. Monday, August 30, 2010, at St. Mark's Catholic Church, Iowa Falls. A Rosary will be held at 9:15 A.M. also Monday followed by a visitation from 9:30 until Mass time. Burial will be at 3:00 P.M. Monday at the Calvary Cemetery, Pocahontas, Iowa. The Linn's Funeral Home, 1521 Washington Avenue, Iowa Falls, has been entrusted with the arrangements. Memorials may be directed to the family c/o her daughter: Pam Braga, 328 Sarah Avenue, Iowa Falls, Iowa 50126.

Lois E. Vosika was born January 19, 1916, in Sherman Township, Pocahontas County, Iowa the daughter of Mary Frances [Hudek] and Adolph William Vosika. She graduated from Pocahontas High School with the class of 1934. She received a degree in general business from Chillicothe Business College, Chillicothe, Missouri. On September 10, 1940, Lois was united in marriage to Duncan Casper Grant at Pocahontas, Iowa. To this union four children were born: Linda, Richard, Pam and Barbara. Lois was a homemaker and had worked as a bookkeeper for the Rolfe State Bank and clerked at the Pocahontas County Court House. She was a member of Chapter AH of TTT, American Legion Auxiliary, Wally Byam Airstream Travel Club, Iowa Falls Garden Club, SS. Peter and Paul Church, Pocahontas, the SS. Peter & Paul Altar Society, St. Mark Catholic Church, Iowa Falls and served as a 4-H and Cub Scout leader. Lois had a zest for life. A life-long learner, she enjoyed crafts, quilting, candle making and hand work. She was a talented herb and flower gardener, loved fishing and camping, collected antiques and embraced all things Scottish. After retirement she had lived in Lakeview, Arkansas.

Lois is survived by her four children: Linda (Tom) Mosier, Raleigh, North Carolina; Richard Grant, Alton, Illinois; Pam (Steve) Braga, Iowa Falls, Iowa; and Barbara (Mark Armstrong) Grant, Springville, Iowa; five grandchildren: Cameron (Shannon) Mosier, Raleigh, North Carolina; Peter Grant, Alton, Illinois; Brent Braga, Grand Forks, North Dakota; Katie Braga and Sarah Braga, Grimes, Iowa; one brother: Richard Vosika, Twin Lakes, Manson, Iowa and one sister: Jeanette Frost, Windsor Heights, Iowa. Lois was preceded in death by her parents: Mary and Adolph Vosika; her husband: Duncan Grant; and two brothers: Cyril J. Vosika and Lowell Vosika.
