Lucille Ann (Bateman) Breitenkamp passed away on August 25th , 2010 at the Baber Hospice Home in Fort Dodge. Lucille was born on January 28, 1931 to Jim and Jeanette(Erickson) Bateman. She graduated from Webster City High School in 1949 and married Howard Breitenkamp on January 15, 1950. The couple lived and farmed north of Highview until 1966, when they moved to the home they have lived in for the past 44 years in Webster City. Lucille was a devoted wife and mother. She delighted in caring for her family and lived her faith daily by serving on many committees at St. Paul's Lutheran Church over the past 60 years. She was a member of the Church's Ladies Aid and Deborah Elizabeth Circle. A life-long resident of Webster City, Lucille was proud of her community and worked as an early organizer of Meals on Wheels.

Lucille is preceded in death by her parents, Jim and Jeanette, her brother, Jack (Violette), her sister Evelyn (Lynn) Richardson, and two infant daughters, Karen and Brita. She is survived by her husband of 60 years, Howard, daughters Pam ( Mike) Robinson of Leawood, Kansas, Janet (Loran) Seiser of Webster City, a son Jay (Polly) Breitenkamp of Kansas City, Missouri and sister-in-law Juanita Meyer of Boone. She is also survived by 6 grandchildren that she adored: Gavin Robinson, Kirt, Justin and Keri Seiser, Ava and Cecilia Breitenkamp.

Visitation will be Friday, August 27 at Foster Funeral Home from 5 to 7 PM with a celebration of life to be held on Saturday, August 28, 10:30 at St. Paul's Lutheran Church 1005 Beach Street.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests you honor Lucille's life with memorials to Mayo Clinic Alzheimer's Research, 200 1st St. SW, Rochester, Minnesota 55905, St. Paul's Lutheran Social Ministries or Baber Hospice Center, 2630 9th Ave So. Fort Dodge, Iowa, 50315.

The family would like to offer a special thank you to Joe and Charlotte Sherman, Mary Beth Mourlam, Drs. Sahai and staff 0f Webster City Medical Clinic and the Baber Hospice Home for their kindness and support during Lucille's illness.
