Marian Eggers Jeske, 86, went home to be with our Lord and Savior on Saturday, Febr. 20, 2010, in Austin, Texas.

She was born in Webster City, Iowa, on November 29, 1923, and attended local city schools. During World War II, she worked for the FBI in Washington, DC. During that time she met her husband-to-be, Harold. They were married 64 years. After marriage, they moved to Albuquerque, NM, where they lived for 55 years.

After moving to Albuquerque, Marian did volunteer work at the local elementary school library, was a room mother, and at various times a Bluebird leader, Campfire Girl leader, Girl Scout leader, and Cub Scout leader. Marian was a charter member of Redeemer Lutheran Church in Albuquerque where she was very active. She taught Sunday School there for many years. She was also an accomplished seamstress. In December 2004, she moved to Round Rock, Texas, to be near her son and family.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Harold on January 17, 2010; her parents; five sisters; and one brother. She is survived by daughter, Beth Saslowsky and husband Norm of Weaverville, North Carolina; daughter, Kathleen Watson and husband Greg of Ridgecrest, California; son, David and wife Carolyn of Round Rock, Texas; sister, Lois Eggers of Omaha, Nebraska; and sister-in-law, Leila Heck Eggers of Clarion, Iowa. She also leaves behind three grandchildren: Kelly Watson of Ridgecrest, California, Rachel and Joel Jeske of Round Rock, Texas; four nephews; and three nieces.

Marian will be missed by all who knew her.
