Frank Trampel, 93, of Webster City, died Tuesday, June 19, 2007 at the Southfield Wellness Community. Graveside services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday at the Graceland Cemetery, with Rev. Travis Schmidt officiating. Arrangements were made with the Foster Funeral and Cremation Center.

Frank Trampel, son of Adolph and Freda Timmer Trampel, was born May 12, 1914 at Kamrar. He attended rural schools near Kamrar and graduated from Kamrar Public School. On March 11, 1936, he married Blanche Emily Woodmansee at Webster City. The couple farmed in the Webster City area. Blanche died March 19, 1961. On June 30, 1962, he married Esther B. Hanson at Nashua. The couple resided on a farm southwest of Webster City until 1980 when they moved to Webster City. For many years he was a farm drain tile installer for E.L. Hemmen Tiling. He retired in 1989. Esther died July 8, 1996. He had resided at Southfield since November of 2002.

Frank is survived by his brother, Carl Trampel of Kamrar; sister-in-law, Dorothy Nordgren of Cedar Rapids; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his wives, he was preceded in death by his parents; step mother Bina Trampel; brothers, Fred Nordgren and Ervin Trampel.

He was a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Webster City.
