Hazel A. Onnen, 93, of Webster City, died Tuesday, May 8, 2007 at Crestview Senior Living. Memorial services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Friday at the Foster Funeral and Cremation Center with Rev. Travis Schmidt officiating. Burial will be in the Graceland Cemetery. There will be no visitation.

Hazel Alberta Rogge daughter of Albert and Geska Tjaden Rogge was born on December 6, 1913 at Fort Dodge. She received her education in the Fort Dodge area. On March 19, 1941 she married Everett William Onnen. The couple made their home in Manson. In 1956, the family moved to Humboldt and in 1958 they moved to Webster City. Hazel was employed for Morten Foods for over two years. Her main vocation was as a homemaker. Mr. Onnen died on October 3, 1982. She had been residing at Crestview Senior Living for the past 15 days.

Mrs. Onnen is survived by her son, Roger Onnen of Webster City; four grandchildren; six great grandchildren and sister, Alberna Assing of Webster City.

In addition to her husband Everett, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Shirley Courtin and Hazel’s parents.

Mrs. Onnen was a member of St. Pauls Lutheran Church in Webster City.
