James “Jim” F. Dunham, 66, of Goodyear, Ariz. passed away on April 28, 2007. He was born on May 21, 1940 in Early, Iowa to Chester and Frida Elizabeth Dunham. Jim moved to Arizona from Webster City, Iowa and had been living there for 12 years.

Jim graduated from Iowa City High School in 1959 and soon after joined the US Air Force as a medic. After serving his country, he returned to Iowa and attended the University of Iowa where he earned his BS in Recreation Leadership in 1968. Jim was the director of public grounds in Webster City from 1972 to 1995. He was a member of Promise Keepers, Compass Community Church Mens Group and Bible Studies and the NRA. Jim had a love for Antique Cars and was a hunting and fishing enthusiast. Jim married Pat Dunham on June 20, 1964, who survives him.

Also surviving are his sons Mitch (Deb) and Matt (Dani) Dunham; sister Janet Hime; one precious grandchild, Maddie and multiple nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, brother Jerry Dunham, and infant grandson Gabriel.

A memorial service was held on Wednesday, May 2nd at 1pm at Compass Community Church. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Hospice of the Valley, 1510 E. Flower St., Phoenix, AZ 85014. Under the direction of Carmen Terra Schultz of Thompson’s Valley West Funeral Chapel in Goodyear, AZ.
