Funeral services for Donald Kidney, 84, Perry, will be held Wednesday, Sept. 3, 2008 at 11 a.m. at First United Methodist Church in Perry. Visitation will be Tuesday, Sept. 2 from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. with the family present from 5 to 7 p.m. at Carris Family Funeral Home. Burial will be in Violet Hill Cemetery in Perry. Donald died Sunday, Aug. 31, 2008 at Perry Lutheran Home in Perry.

Don was preceded in death by his parents, one grandchild, one great-grandchild, and two brothers, LaVern and Frank Kidney. He is survived by his wife, Jean; sons Jim of Two Harbors, Minn., John (Linda) of Webster City; Bob (Joan) of Carroll, and daughter Kay Larson (Kent) of Clive; six granddaughters, four great-grandchildren, a brother, Gary Kidney of Houston, Texas, other relatives and a host of friends.
