John H. Price, Jr., age 89, died August 5, 2008, in Mesa, AZ. He was born September 21, 1918 in Epworth,IA, and was a resident of Webster City, from 1945 until 1977 during which time he owned and operated Price's Shoe Store and Shoe Repair Shop. John served proudly in the US Navy during WWII in a Construction Battalion Unit. After closing his shoe business in Webster City, John and wife Jerry moved to Mesa AZ. John continued to work out of his home repairing shoes and leather goods until shortly before his death. John was preceded in death by his wife Jerry in 1998. He is survived by his daughter, Sharon Bagley of Boise, ID, son and daughter-in-law, David and Edna Price of Rio Rico, AZ; 5 grandchildren and spouses, Tony and Patty Hildebrand, Amy and Bill Anderson, Andrea and Jim Terry, Chris and Kelly Ann Price, Kelly Jon and Patrick Torres, and 9 great grandchildren. It was John's wishes to be cremated. His remains will be returned to Iowa for burial at a later date. John will be greatly missed by his friends and family.
