Emma Maude Cutshall passed into eternity on Monday, March 10, 2008, at Hamilton Hospital, Webster City, Iowa. She was 95 years old and resided at Southfield Wellness Community.

Emma was born to John and Ida (Green) Cutshall on a farm south of Booneville, Iowa on March 18, 1912. She graduated from De Soto High School and earned a degree in nursing. Emma practiced nursing at Belmond and Des Moines until she left the profession to help take care of her elderly mother. She lived near her brother, Leo Cutshall and family, for many years on a farm near Allison, Iowa.

Emma spent much of her later years helping to take care of the animals on the farm. Her hobbies included playing the piano and baking. She enjoyed spending time with her nieces and nephews. Emma was also a long time member of the Methodist Church.

Emma is survived by her brother and sisters-in-law, Leo and Ruby Cutshall of Webster City; sister-in-law, Leta Cutshall of Britt; nephew, JoeCutshall of Fort Dodge, his wife, Sandy and their children, Meg, Aaron, Leah and Amy; niece, Ruth Steig of Webster City and husband, Roger and their children, Ryan, Reggie, Rachel and Rebecca; niece, Laura Norman of Clinton and husband, Jim and their children, Emily, Kyle, Lindsey and Molly; nephew, Steve Cutshall of Allison and wife, Ann and their children, Alexander, Rubanna, Maryann and John; niece, Susan Eberly of Coralville and husband, Scott and their sons, Quinten and Cole; nephew, Dennis Cutshall of Honey Creek and his daughters, Valerie and Karen; niece, Lavon McNaughton of Charleston, SC, and husband, Richard; nephew, Vernon Cutshall of Orlando, FL, and wife, Iris and their son, Samuel, nephew, Floyd Cutshall of Corwith, his wife, Linda and their children, Sarah and Jared and his spouse, Andrea; nephew, Lynn Cutshall of Des Moines.

In addition to her parents, Emma was preceded in death by brothers, Homer and Forest Cutshall; sister, Susie Cutshall, infant brother, Alfred and nephew, David Cutshall.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, March 13, 2008 at the Faith United Methodist Church in Webster City, with Reverend Mike Willer, officiating. Burial will be in the Oakland Cemetery at De Soto. Arrangements were made with the Foster Funeral and Cremation Center.
