Michael L. Carpenter, 17, Webster City, suffered fatal injuries from an automobile accident Monday, December 10, 2007. Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Saturday, December 15th in the chapel of Laufersweiler-Sievers Funeral Home and 10:30 a.m. at Sacred Heart Church with Rev. Tim Johnson officiating at the Mass of Christian Burial. Burial will be in Oakland Cemetery. Visitation will be after 4:00 p.m. Friday at the funeral home, where there will be a vigil at 7:00 p.m.

Michael is survived by his mother, Terri and her husband Howard Saxton of Webster City; his father, Tom and his wife Joan of Fort Dodge; brother, Nick and his wife Chelsea of Duncombe; step-sisters, Samantha and Katelynn of Fort Dodge; grandparents, Walt and Norma Bailey of Webster City; step-grandma, Kathy Foresi; step great-grandmother, Pauline Benton; and several cousins, aunts and uncles. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Robert and Karla Carpenter.

Michael Lee Carpenter was born May 22, 1990 in Webster City and was currently in his Junior year of High School. At the time of his death, he was employed at McDonalds in Webster City. He loved to hunt, fish and work on cars.

Memorials may be left to the discretion of the family.
