Richard G. Goettsch, 16, of Webster City, died Monday, December 10, 2007 in an auto-truck accident west of Webster City. A Celebration of Life will be held at 3:30 p.m. Friday at the Foster Chapel, with Rev. Pete Peterson officiating. Visitation will be at the Foster Funeral and Cremation Center from 5:00 p.m.to 9:00 p.m. Thursday and prior to the service on Friday.

Richard Glen Goettsch, son of Alan and Lisa Archie Goettsch, was born Sept. 10, 1991 at San Clemente, California. He received his education in Webster City schools. He had worked as a delivery route person for the Freeman Journal, McMurray Hatchery and McDonald’s.

Richard is survived by his mother, Lisa Goettsch and significant other, Michael Pelz; sister, Lily Goettsch, Mike’s children, Mic and Stephanie Pelz, all of Webster City; paternal grandparents, Richard and Adra Ann Goettsch of Webster City; maternal grandparents, Jerry Archie of Yuma, AZ; Lynda McDougall of Delta, CO; Richard’s special friend, Emilee Lacey; aunts and uncles, Amy and John Hartnett of Storm Lake; Shari and Bill Snyder of Yuma, AZ; Marlene Correa of Phoenix, AZ; Stephanie Archie and Lisa White of Silver Spring, MD; Deneise and Dennis Bohnen of Mora, MN; several cousins and many friends.

He was preceded in death by his father in 1997.

He was a member of the Asbury United Methodist Church; enjoyed skateboarding, playing football and wrestling. He mostly enjoyed life and his many friends.
