Radie M. Fassett, 99, of Webster City, died Friday, Feb. 6, 2004 at the Southfield Wellness Community. Graveside services will be held at a later date. Arrangements were made with Foster Funeral Home and Cremation Services.
Radie M. Arends, daughter of Herman and Clara Olson Arends was born on July 1, 1904 at Kamrar. She graduated from Lincln High School in Webster City. On May 30, 1923, she married Nelson E. Fassett at Fort Dodge. The couple resided in Webster City. Mrs. Fassett was a homemaker, taught rural school in the Hamilton County area and was also employed at McMurray Hatchery until her retirement. Mr. Fassett died on January 24, 1981. She had resided at Southfield Wellness Community since July of 2002.
She is survived by her daughter Dorothy L. Brim and son, Jim F. Fassett both of Webster City; three grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
In addition to her husband, Nelson, she was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters, Byrda Arends and Maude Cordes; two brothers, Arthur and Harry Arends; son-in-law, Bob L. Brim and granddaughter-in-law, Barbara Brim.
Mrs. Fassett was a member of the First Congregational U.C.C.
