Geneva H. Olson

Mrs. Geneva H. Olson, age 80, of Ellsworth, died of cancer at Mary Greeley Hospital in Ames on Friday, May 26, 1995. Funeral services were held Tuesday, May 30, at Trinity Lutheran Church in Ellsworth with Pastor Michael Herschberger officiating. Burial was in the Homewood Cemetery. Fredregill Funeral Home in Zearing was in charge of arrangements.

Geneva Olson was born on May 26, 1915, at Claremont, Minnesota to Ray and Cora (Hanson) Anderson. She was baptized and confirmed at Elim Lutheran Church to Randall. She graduated from Randall High School in 1933. On June 15, 1937 she married Wayne Olson at Lenexa, Kansas. They settled in Ellsworth, Iowa. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Ellsworth, and the Advanced Club.

She is survived by two sons, Doug and wife, Lana Olson, of Williamsburg, Virginia and Lauren and Teresa Olson of Ellsworth, Iowa, and one daughter, Mrs. Robert (Pat) Bush of Laurinburg, North Carolina; four grandchildren, Julie Davis, Susan Consolaatti, Shelley Olson and Brenda Olson; two sisters, Mrs Robert (Lois) Thompson of Ellsworth, Mrs. Mildred Bates of Richmond, California; and one brother, Raymond and his wife, Margaret Anderson of Ellsworth.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Wayne Olson, on May 9, 1986, one grandson, one granddaughter and three brothers.
