Stanley M. Johnson

Stanley M. Johnson, 75, of Randall, died of a heart attack Thursday, May 25, 1995, at Mercy Hospital Medical Center in Des Moines. Funeral services were held Saturday morning May 27, at Elim Lutheran Church in Randall with Pastor John Wogsland officiating. Burial was at Evergreen Cemetery in Jewell. Soderstrum-Larson Funeral Home in Story City was in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Johnson was born in Jewell and had lived in Randall since 1956. He was a World War II veteran, receiving the Purple Heart. He was a member of Elim Lutheran Church.

He is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Roxie and Gary Hove of Stanhope; four grandchildren, Amy and Tracy Hove of Stanhope, Debbie Johnson and Doug Greiner, both fo Ames; two great-grandchildren; two sisters, Manora Durby of Story City and Judy Jackson of Des Moines; and one brother, Oliver Johnson of Ames. Mr. Johnson was preceded in death by his wife, Anita; a daughter, Sandy, and a son, Jon.
