Robert Reese

Robert Reese, 59, West Des Moines, died Saturday, March 24 at Methodist Hospital in Des Moines.

Services were held March 28 at McLearn Rest Haven Chapel in West Des Moines. Burial was in the Evergreen Cemetery in Jewell with Father Carl Ries officiating. Lunch was served by the Good Shepherd Guild.

Reese was born Nov. 10, 1930, at Webster City to Jack and Stella (Franklin) Reese. He attended Jewell School, graduating in 1949. He worked for the Register and Tribune for 29 years. He was a veteran of World War II. He was a member of the Thunderbird Club.

He is survived by his wife Doris, one son, Jon, Scottsdale, Ariz., a daughter, Robin Tenborg, Des Moines, four sisters, Virginia Solberg, Jewell, Deloris Landueth, Milan, Ill., Lorraine Hagen of Bellflower, Calif., and Patricia Orris of Austin, Texas, and 3 grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers.
