Reuben Greiman

Rueben Martin Greiman, 82, a longtime Jewell resident, died Sunday, Aug. 19, at Bethany Manor in Story City. Funeral services were held Wednesday, Aug. 22, at 10:30 a.m. at the Bethesda Lutheran Church in Jewell, with Rev. Lee Laaveg officiating. Burial was in the Evergreen Cemetery, Jewell.

Reuben Martin Greiman, son of William and Dora (Lau) Greiman, was born July 18, 1908, on a farm near Garner. He was baptized at the Peace Reformed Church near Garner. He married his wife, Bea, on June 29, 1956 in Kenyon, Minn. He worked as a mechanic for International Harvestor for 30 years in Radcliffe and Jewell.

He is survived by his wife, Bea, Jewell; two sons, Darrell Greiman, Nevada; and Cecil Greiman, Des Moines; a daughter Mabel Lange, Runnels; nine grandchildren; three stepchildren, Leslie Peterson, Lakewood, Colo.; Marilyn Johnson, Jewell; and LaVon Jessen, Macomb, Ill.,; three stepgrandchildren; one great-stepgrandchild; and two sisters, Martha Swanson, Garner; and Louis Etchen, Belmond.

He was preceded in death by his parents, five sisters and four brothers.

Mr. Breiman was a member of the Bethesda Lutheran Church of Jewell.
