Guy William Templer

Guy William Templer, 83, of Story City, IA, formerly of RR Jewell died of congestive heart failure on January 21, 1995 at Story City Hospital. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, January 26, 1995 at 1:30 p.m. at Grace United Methodist Church, Story City. The Rev. Ray Hampton will officiate.

Buy was born on March 26, 1911 near Jewell, IA. His parents were George and Elena (Peterson) Templer. He married Blanch Wike on December 21, 1933 in Nevada, IA.

He has lived in Story City since 1977 and prior to that he farmed near Jewell and retired in 1973.

He is survived by his wife Blanche of Story City; one duaghter, Joyce Larson of Jewell; one son: Bruce Templer of Beaufort, MO, 3 grandchildren; and one sister: Mary Leyh of Sumner, IA.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one granddaughter, Ann Larson.

He was a former Board of Director of Jewell CO-OP, Izaak Walton League, Federated Church in Jewell and the Soil Conservation Commission of Hamilton County. He was current member of Grace United Methodist Church in Story Ctiy, Hawkeye Campers, Good Luck Sams and SOS Campers.

Visitation will be after 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday with the family present from 6:30 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Soderstrum-Larson Funeral Home in Story City. They are handling the arrangements.
