Evelyn Mohler

Evelyn M. Mohler, 83, of Fremont, IA, died August 3, 1992, at her home.

She was born June 24, 1909, in Jewell to Fred and Blanche Mortenson Buchholtz. she married Paul Mohler on January 28, 1948, in Bethany, MO.

She was a 1927 graduate of Jewell High School. She worked as a telephone operator for Bell Telephone Co. in Jewell and also for McCurdy Seed in Fremont. She later was employed as a postal clerk at Fremont Post Office retiring in 1972. She was a 50 year member of Order of Eastern Star and a member of Fremont United Methodist Church.

She is survived by her husband and a sister, Mildred Tempel of Jewell.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, in infancy.

The service was held Friday, August 7, at the Fremont United Methodist Church with the Rev. Pacifico Camarin officiating. Burial was at the Cedar Township Memorial Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to Fremont Rescut Unit or Fremont United Methodist.

Pallbearers were Larry McCurdy, Carl Wilhoit, Gene Heun, Craig Wiggins, Lowell McCraken and Kenneth Blizzard.

Honorary casket bearers were John McKee, Samuel Sauer, LeRoy McCurdy and James McCurdy.
