Leonard Peterson

Leonard A. Peterson, 81, formerly of Jewell, died Thursday, Oct. 25 at Southfield Care Center in Webser City. Graveside services were held Saturday, Oct 27, at 3 p.m. at the Evergreen Cemetery in Jewell. Rev. Dean Stille officiating. The Becker Funeral Home of Jewell was in charge of arrangements.

Leonard A. Peterson, son of John and Sena (Nelson) Peterson, was born July 16, 1909, near Jewell. He maried Inez Lillian Kirkeby on March 2, 1932, in Jewell. She preceded him in death on Oct. 28, 1979.

He is survived by two sons, Charles Peterson, Carthage, Ill., and Richard Peterson, Gloucester, Mass.; a daughter, Shirley Davis, Winterset; eight grandchildren and seven grea-grandchildren.

Mr. Peterson was a member of the Federated United Church of Christ in Jewell.
