Lois Aegertor

Lois Ruth Barkema Flygstad Aegertor, daughter of George Hans and Grace Klaver Barkema, was born February 21, 1930 in Jewell. She was a 1947 graduate of Jewell High School. Lois was united in marriage in 1948 to Donald Flygstad and on June 26, 1974 to Floyd Clyde Aegertor.

She is survived by her daughters, Diane (Gille) Delegard and husband Dave of Eden, Wisconsin, and Gayle Torgerson and husband Lowell of Jewell; granchildren Matthew Gille of St. Paul, Minnesota, Devon Gille and wife Michelle of Perth, Australia, Daniel Delegard of Fondu'lac, Wisconsin, Jennifer (Torgerson) Delegard and husband Doug of Jewell; great-grandchildren Michael Douglas Delegard and David Alexander Delegard; sisters Doris June Benshoof of Pleasantville, Iowa and Rose Mare Ware of Alvarado, Texas; and one brother Richard George Barkema of Murray, Iowa.

She was preceded in death by her parents, George and Grace Barkema, and husband Floyd Aegertor.

Lois departed life on April 14, 2003. Funeral services were held on April 18th at 11:00 a.m. in Tipton, Iowa. Pallbearers were Lowell Torgerson, Dave Delegard, Doug Delegard, Jayme Torgerson and Aaron McKenzie. She was laid to rest at the Tipton Masonic Cemetery in Tipton.
