Katharyn Klaver, 77, Webster City

Katharyn Klaver, 77, Webster City, died April 18, 1993 at Mary Greeley Medical Center in Ames. Services will be 2:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Foster Funeral Home with the Rev. Lynn Rainsley officiating. Burial is in the Blairsburg Cemetery. Visitation is until time of service Wednesday at the funeral home.

Katharyn Olive McDonald, daughter of Simon and Kathryn (Brennick) McDonald, was born Oct. 2, 1915 on a farm near Jewell. She attended rural schools in that area.

On May 9, 1933, she married Benhard Klaver in Jewell. the couple resided in the Kamrar area. In 1950, they moved to a farm west of Blairsburg. Her husband died in January 1972. In 1975, she moved to Blairsburg. She then moved to Webster City in 1985.

She is survived by daughter and son-in-law, Gwen and Jerry Farnham of Webster City; son and daughter-in-law, Gary and Jerilynn Klaver of Jewell; grandchildren, Jay and Tom Klaver and Kevin Foell and Karen Scott; five great-grandchildren; sisters, May McKenna and Pearl Politis, both of Ames, Mary Tempel of Jewell; and brothers, James McDonald of Ames and William McDonald of Long Beach, Calif. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers and two sisters. She attended the United Church of Christ Congregational in Blairsburg.
