Richard Olson

Richard Olson, 48, R.R. 2, Story City, died of cancer Thursday, Mar. 14, 1985 at Story City Memorial Hospital. He had been ill eight months. Services were held at 1:30 p.m. Mar. 16, at Elim Lutheran Church, Randall, with the Rev. Larry Tantow officiating. Burial was in the Mount Olive Cemetery, Randall.

Richard Olson was born June 9, 1936, in Hamilton County to Leo and Beulah Olson. He had farmed in Hamilton County and had done carpentry work.

Survivors include his wife, Elaine; his father, Leo Olson, Story City; three daughters, Carla, Alden, Shelly and Beulah, Story City; two sons, Rodney, Manson, and Todd, Fresno, Calif.; and three brothers, Burdette, Story City, Merle, Blue Earth, Minn., and Amel, Moraga, Calif.
