Mrs. Jones, 77, Died Tuesday.

Mrs. James. S. Jones, 77, died suddenly Tuesday evening at her home 1133 Bell Avenue. She had been in ill health the the past three months. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at the Church of Christ with the Rev. Marvin Brewer officiating and with burial in Graceland cemetery.

The body will lie in state at the Foster Funeral home until 9:30 Friday morning, when it will be taken to the church.

Nellie May Springstroh, daughter of Frank and Anna Pierce Springstroh, was born August 28, 1889, on a farm near Woolstock and was reared and educated in the Woolstock community.

For several years she was employed as a telephone operator in Des Moines before returning to the Webster City community.

She was united in marriage Oct. 9, 1911 to James Sheridan Jones, and the couple resided in Webster City where Mr. Jones engaged in the carpentry trade.

In 1934, the couple moved to a farm northwest of Webster City where they resided until 1965, when they moved to their present home at 1133 Bell Avenue.

She is survived by one son and three daughters, Lyle Z. (Casey) Jones, Mrs. Zelpha I . Fuller, and Mrs. Garvin (Bonnie) Lyons, all of Webster City, and Mrs. Wahneeta W. Davis of Cedar Rapids; 14 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband April 24 1966; by two grandchildren; her parents; one sister and one step-brother.

Mrs. Jones was a member of the Church of Christ.
