Lloyd A. "Speed" Johnson
Services for Lloyd A. "Speed" Johnson, 65, of 2223 E. Ridgeway Ave., will be 1 p.m. Saturday at Chapel of Memories West, with burial at Morrison.
Mr. Johnson died Tuesday of injuries received in a fall while visiting his son at Garrison.
He was born Sept. 18, 1914, at Waukon, the son of Albert and Lillian Jenkins Johnson. He had been employed by the Rath Packing Co., in the freezer department for 27 years before retiring in 1976.
He married Miriam A. Reed July 3, 1953, at Grundy Center.
Surviving are his wife; a son, James E. of Garrison; two step-sons, John Reed of Belle Fouche, S.D., and Roger L. Reed of Hulett, Wyo.; three step-daughters, Evelyn Miller of Palatine, Ill., Sharon Kamp of Jesup and Marie Spreen of Clinton; a brother, Leo Johnson of Bakersfield, Calif., and 16 grandchildren.
Friends may call at Chapel of Memories West at 11 a.m. Friday until service time.
Memorial may be given to the diabetic foundation in his name.
