Mrs. Bessie Johns

Services for Bessie Johns, 72, of 323 W. 1st St. will be at 3:30 p.m. Friday at the First Presbyterian Church with the Rev. John Folkers officiating.

Burial will be in Washington Township Cemetery in Morrison under direction of Nottger Funeral Home.

Mrs. Johns died Tuesday at Allen Hospital of a possible coronary.

She was born Oct. 22, 1896, in Ohio, daughter of Myron and Cora Palmer Dickinson. She married Marx Johns in 1917 in Grundy Center.

She was a member of the First Presbyterian church, Circle 3 of the church and was a PTA Blue Star mother.

Survivors include her husband; two sons, Myron of Modesto, Calif., and Merle of Cupertino, Calif., and three grandchildren.

She was preceded by parents and a brother.

Memorials have been established for the First Presbyterian Church.
