Ryan William Hood, 37 of Marshalltown, passed away at his home on Monday, August 17, 2020.

A memorial visitation will be held on Sunday, September 6th, 2020 from 1:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. at the Mitchell Family Funeral Home in Marshalltown. Mitchell Family Funeral Home is caring for Ryan and his family. Memorials can be directed to the funeral home in care of his daughter, Lenah.

Ryan was born on June 17, 1983 in Marshalltown to Jeffery Hood and Susan Martin. Ryan enjoyed camping, kayaking, going to rodeos and spending time with his friends. He always was working on something and was known from time to time to have some Jäeger. Above all else, Ryan enjoyed spending time with his daughter, Lenah.

Ryan is survived by his daughter, Lenah Hood of Garwin; parents, Jeffery (Tammy) Hood of Ferguson and Susan Bond of Marshalltown as well as his siblings: Shannon Clark of Daytona Beach, Florida, Amanda Hood of Marshalltown and Jeffery (Ashley) Hood Jr. of Marshalltown.

Ryan is preceded in death by his maternal and paternal grandparents and a step father, David Bond.
